Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using America In Pixels ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

3. Pixel claims

A pixel claim is a one-time purchase that grants you a permanent listing on the America In Pixels map and a public profile page for as long as the Service is operated. Claims are non-recurring; there are no subscription fees or renewals.

Pixel claims are a display right on our platform, not a real-property or intellectual-property interest in any physical land or any real map. We may re-position, re-render, or migrate pixels for technical reasons while preserving the size and identity of your claim.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Because pixel claims are digital goods delivered immediately, all sales are final unless required otherwise by law. If a payment is charged back, disputed, or refunded, we may release the associated pixels back to the available pool.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of images, text, and links you upload. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as part of the Service. You represent that you have the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

All content must follow our Content Policy. We may remove content that violates it; your underlying pixel claim remains yours.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use the Service to break the law, harass others, distribute malware, scrape at a scale that harms the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially or repeatedly violate these Terms or our Content Policy. Where possible, we will preserve legitimate pixel claims and give you an opportunity to replace removed content.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
